Registered charities, non-profits and community groups may use the centre to promote their mission or run a fundraising initiative. A member of the charity or non-profit with signing authority for third-party fundraising matters must sign the agreement. For a fundraiser, 100% of the proceeds must be paid directly to the organization represented.
No. West Edmonton Mall and E360s provide the centre to charitable organizations at no cost. The space does not include financial assistance or support from West Edmonton Mall staff or volunteers, so plan to supply and staff your own display.
Your organization must carry third-party liability insurance naming West Edmonton Mall Property Inc. and West Edmonton Mall Promotions as additionally insured. You’re also responsible for obtaining all permits, licences, permissions and approvals your event requires.
The Common Area Policies allow organizations to be fully operational Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but you’re not required to operate for the full window.
Keep your display clean and in first-class condition, use professionally produced signage rather than handwritten signs, and obtain approval for visual merchandising and all activities. Your organization is responsible for the supplies and equipment its display needs.
After you submit the application, a representative will contact you in three business days. If your event goes ahead, your organization must provide contribution and engagement statistics in the week after its last event day; West Edmonton Mall shares that information on the WEM Cares page.
