May 13 Update: Retail Reopening
We are excited to open our doors once again here at West Edmonton Mall! Our top priority is the health and safety of our guests, tenants, and employees. To ensure this, we are collaboratively working with AHS and the Government of Alberta to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
April 25 Update: Curbside Pick Up
During these unprecedented times select retailers at West Edmonton Mall are offering curbside pick up to get you what you need, safely and in keeping with government regulations around social distancing. Please see below for a list of participating retailers and the associated curbside pickup entrance.
Please contact each retailer individually and they will guide you through the process of ordering their products and the pick up process. Please note that regular store hours may change, and that curbside pick up is only available dependent on retailer availability. For more information please contact the retailer directly.
March 27 Update: Mall Entrance Closures
Our top priority at West Edmonton Mall remains protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our tenants, guests, and team members. Due to the latest set of enhanced precautions released by the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, West Edmonton Mall has decided to close any mall entrances that don’t provide access to an essential service or the Fantasyland Hotel starting March 27, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. until further notice.
Only the following entrances are open to access essential services within the Mall: 2, 8, 31, 52 and 58.
As per Government guidelines no gathering, mall-walking or loitering is permitted at this time. We must act responsibly and comply with the Government order for the benefit of the country, for our tenants, guests and team members.
March 16 Update: Attractions Closing
After careful review of the Government of Alberta’s recommendations for mass gatherings and in consideration of the best interests of our guests, tenants and employees, effective March 16, 2020, West Edmonton Mall will be temporarily closing all attractions until further notice. These closures are preventative in nature as, to date, there have been no reported incidents of COVID-19 at the Shopping Centre.
The Shopping Centre, Fantasyland Hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn will continue to operate during regularly scheduled hours with heightened risk mitigation procedures in place, including augmented cleaning schedules in high touch areas, additional sanitizer stations, the posting of public health and safety notifications, and the encouragement of social distancing.
We can also advise that certain tenants of the Shopping Centre have elected to reduce their store operating hours. These reduced hours will be in effect over the next two weeks and may be subject to change. The Mall remains open regular hours with select retailers with modified hours.
The Centers for Disease and Control Prevention (CDC) advises the following:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
